1963 Studebaker Avanti, this car is 100% original and won the Best Survivor Award at the Edmonton Powerama in 2009.  The Avanti was the most advanced car of its time, standard equipped with disc brakes, anti-sway bars, panhard bar and an airplane dash & steering wheel.  Avanti came with with a 289, 4 bbl Studebaker engine (not Ford) which produced 240 HP, and was also available with a supercharger option that produced 290 HP and more with a dual carb option.  The Avanti holds numerous land speed records and is revered around the world for its innovative styling and design.  There is an Avanti in the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, France.  Following is an interesting website on the relatively unknown history of the Avanti.
